Setting up load balancing on an Autel installation
Several charge points on an existing connection, without tripping the main fuse.

Why you nearly always need it
Four 22 kW charge points together ask more than most existing connections can carry. Load balancing shares what is there instead of upgrading.

Static or dynamic
Static means a fixed limit for the charging group. Dynamic means a meter reads the rest of the building and the chargers get the headroom. Dynamic gets more out of the same connection.

What you need
A meter or current transformers on the main supply, and a network link between the charge points. Discuss it before delivery so we configure it for you.

Configuring
We prepare the limit and the sharing rules from your input: available current, number of charge points and minimum current per point. On site you only check the result.

Testing
Charge two vehicles at once and check that the total stays under the limit and that power is redistributed as soon as one session stops.

Explaining it to the customer
Point out that charging can be slower when everything charges at once. That is intended and it keeps the main fuse from tripping.
