Installing Autel in Belgium: RGIE, inspection and OCPP
RGIE/AREI, inspection before commissioning, and connecting to your own OCPP platform.
STANDARDS AND INSPECTION
- RGIE/AREI, book 1 and the provisions for charging infrastructure
- Inspection before commissioning by an approved body (Vincotte, AIB, BTV, ...)
- IEC 61851 for the charging mode, IEC 61439 for the boards
- A separate type A or type B RCD per charge point, per the manufacturer datasheet
- For public and semi public car parks: often an AC point with MID meter or a DC unit with compliant metering
Who may install
A registered electrical installer is enough. The installation must be inspected before commissioning and the report belongs in the owner or operator file.
Common mistakes
An undersized supply cable on a long run, no separate RCD per point, and a load balancing measurement taken behind a sub board instead of on the main supply.
Watch out on DC
From roughly 50 kW the grid application with the network operator (Fluvius, Ores, Sibelga, Resa) drives your timeline. Start that file before promising a date.

Grid application and power
Measure the available power on the main supply and file the application if needed. Leave headroom for extra charge points.

Cable and protection
Size on continuous current, cable length and a maximum 3 percent voltage drop. The breaker follows from the cable. Provide one RCD per charge point.

Mounting the unit
Wall or pedestal, cable entry from below, and for DC free space for airflow and service as stated in the model datasheet.
- 04
Send us your OCPP url
Share the OCPP url of your own platform and the identifier per charge point. We configure the unit before delivery so it registers as soon as it powers up.
- 05
Test, inspect and hand over
Run a full charging session, check the meter values in your platform, have it inspected and hand the datasheets and report to the client. We follow up through the proxy url.
